It kind of makes sense to go back a few years, let me take a big deep breathe. I started blogging almost 10 years ago, when mobile phones were clicky instead of tappy, and social media meant you actually had to use your brain and write something for your voice to be heard. I think I was churning out posts at the blogging height. Nowadays if you have a successful blog you're swiftly whisked off to .com land and are paid for every click you get, not many people blog for a hobby these days, that's why we have social media!
And I'm guilty, I've tried countless times to re-boot my blogging mojo and it never happens, because the everyday, mundane, mummy blogging, Japan blogging, it really is covered on what I post on facebook or instagram. There's no need to bang on about it all somewhere else. Now I can't promise I won't bang on about the mundane, much banging will be had I'm sure, but the main meat of this blog will be about... da da da daaaaaa... running.
*crickets chirping*
Yes I know, no friends giving friends hand jobs in seedy Osakan bars, no crazy stories of the life and trials of a mum of three boys, just running.
But I feel like running, and running to make sure I don't slip in to mental illness, is actually a really boring topic for some, and a really interesting and relatabletopic for others. Hence if you don't like it, troll if you will, or just keep on clickin'. And if you find it interesting and can bear to read my 9-years-of-parenting-no-speaky-writey-English writing, then we will get along fabulously!
This is something that is very dear to my poor little dramatic heart so I feel like I might actually be able to keep it up too. Ironically, I often think about things to write while running, so let's hope I don't get lazy!
Now in myyyyyy blogging day, blogging was pretty much anonymous, you wrote shit, people found it hilarious and left you comments. Now everything is linked to social media so you can find out the author of the blog's home town, tastes in music and when they last took a dump with just a few clicks. So I will try to be as translucent as possible but got to remember half my relatives also have social media, a lot of time on their hands and are surprisingly good with an old google search.
Most people will already know me from my old blog but if not, I'm Corinne Vinegar-Arrow, a wife, mother to 3 insane boys, home owner, business owner, yo-yo dieter, beer drinker, PTSD suffererer, and most recently, runner! I'm just keeping my head above water most of the time so forgive me if I'm incoherent or ramble a bit!
